I’m In The Leopard Cub Club!
Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
I have waited my whole life to be able to photograph a baby leopard in the wild, and at long last, that’s finally what I was able to do!
But I’m talking— that is EXACTLY what I was able to do— no more, no less.
I was able to get this and ONLY THIS one photograph! 🤣😂😂
The mother leopard was so snuggled up with her cub, and in such tall grass, that for hours I was never able to get a clear shot of the little guy.
But then just as I was ready to give up and call it a day, he peeked his little head up and I was able to capture this one shot.
So if you are wondering why I’m only sharing this one photograph and not a whole series, it’s cuz this is all I got! 🥲
He popped up and looked around, then in the blink of an eye, retreated back into the tall grass next to his mother.
I didn’t even have enough time to start hatching an elaborate plan of how I could somehow smuggle him back home to Dallas in my suitcase… 🤣🤣
