Don’t Cry for Me, Antarctica!
Kenya, Africa
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
This big (happy?) Elephant family seemed like the perfect photo to post for Thanksgiving.
This is one of only two Thanksgivings in my entire life that I have not spent with my own happy family, and for that, I am a wee bit sad.
Cue violins:
Currently, I am riding a bus alone from Puerto Natales, Chile to an even smaller city in Argentina (don’t cry!) called El Calafate. My plane to Ushuaia doesn’t leave until tomorrow, so I will spend Thanksgiving night alone in some random hotel. 😩
But I knew all this when I booked the expedition. Lol 😜
So it’s not really all that sad, and this is just the standard journey for someone like myself who is trying to get the very end of the contiguous world, in order to catch a boat to Antarctica!! 🥶🥶🥶
So to all my friends and family, wish me luck! 😀
And know that even though I might be chilly, I miss you all and am thinking of you on this warm and fuzzy American holiday!! 😘😘😘
